Let's Get Cozy with the help of... Walmart - Can you even believe it?!

Yesterday, I shared in stories about our newest addition to cozying up our home: BLINDS! Amazing how one small change has a ripple effect across the whole house!!!

I wanted to share a few things that YOU can do to make that same “cozy” effect in your space!

1. Blinds, obviously! Something as simple as some bamboo blinds add SO much texture and warmth to your space. For us, it made it feel so “finished.” And gave us some privacy which was SO nice! I linked ours for you. Here are the whitewash + here are the natural tone! These are a GREAT added touch and so inexpensive to make a BIG impact even if you take it one or two rooms at a time! (That’s what we are doing!)

+++ A few notes - these are light filtering, for sure! They are. not blackout, but have pretty good light blockage when down! They do not have a privacy liner so you can still see in slightly from the outside if it is pitch black outside with interior lights on!

EDITED TO ADD : these are the roller shades that we have in the boy’s room. They are a privacy shade and you cannot see through them at all. They are not blackout (we didn’t want blackout and like some light to come through), but they work wonderfully for providing FULL privacy and filtering light for them! These roller shades and totally cordless and the mechanism works wonderfully. The texture is GORGEOUS and they would look so so good behind a pretty set of curtains!

We have the natural option.

+++Another note : length does not matter if your windows are shorter than 72 inches. Any additional length just stays hidden and the top and you cant see it!

2. Simple decor pieces! Little changes around your shelves + surfaces can make you feel ALL NEW and so fresh! I say “YOU” feel because your home and your surroundings really do have an effect on YOU!

3. Lighting! Lighting can come in the form of a new overhead light, YES! But if you throw in a new lamp here and there, it can make ALL the difference!

4. Neutral seating! I know this is probably more something that you plan for, BUT, I had to throw these in because we have had our cream colored chairs for almost six years now and I have NEVER seen them this cheap! The delivery date isn’t until September, but SO WORTH THE WAIT!

5. Wall Art! One or two new pieces of wall art make entire rooms and spaces feel TOTALLY different! I found a few that I was drooling over that come in groupings with the loveliest frames, but I also found two tree prints that I could not resist how subtle and sweet they are!

6. Greenery, texture, and light elements! Arguably one of the simplest ways to make you feel instantly cozy! Stuff a lantern with fairy lights or set a faux plant nearby and you will find yourself feeling SO GOOD in your space. Add in a throw or a textured basket or pillow and enjoyyyy!
